The success of the 2017 CARE Awards was testament to the original mission of the CARE Awards:  to recognize the extraordinary achievements of the dedicated professionals working in biopharmaceutical clinical research.  We announced winning entries from Kite Pharma for its groundbreaking CAR-T therapy, and IBM Watson Health, Novartis & Highlands Oncology for their collaborative, and transformative, technological development, among many others. For our third year, we’re continuing the momentum and kicking off nominations a bit earlier to allow entrants more time to reflect upon their recent achievements and prepare their submissions.  We’re also moving venues for next year’s CARE Awards ceremony, which will take place on April 25, 2018 at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

The CARE Awards will again honor the achievements of the many dedicated individuals, teams and organizations committed to advancing human health through clinical research, despite the numerous challenges faced on a daily basis. Award categories seek to highlight notable achievements across the spectrum of clinical R&D, from the budding early phase drug candidates to groundbreaking trial design or results, as well as technological developments disrupting the way clinical research is done.

The 2018 CARE Awards are now open for nominations, and will be accepting entries until December 23, 2017. The 2018 CARE Awards will recognize activities taking place within 2017 in the following categories:

  • Most Successful Early Phase Research (Preclinical & Phase I)

  • Excellence in Rare Disease Drug Development

  • Best Patient Centric Clinical Trial

  • Pharma/Biotech Product Development Team of the Year

  • Most Innovative Clinical Trial Design

  • Clinical Trial Result of the Year

  • Best Patient-Focused Technological Development

  • Best Sponsor-Focused Technological Development

  • Clinical Partnership of the Year

  • Best in Health Economics & Outcomes Research

In addition to the above, submissions for the CARE Lifetime Achievement Award will also be accepted for those exceptional individuals who consistently have gone above and beyond the call of duty throughout their career.

As usual, there is no limit to the number of entries that can be submitted. For more information on the CARE Awards, the entry process or category criteria, visit http://www.clinicalresearchexcellence.

Best of luck!
