Global Search Configuration

Issue:

 

A global pharmaceutical company needed to assess the current and future competitive landscape of an early-stage analog drug to determine the possibilities of market entry and the viability of possible differentiation strategies to compete in the market.


 

 

Approach:

Utilizing Trialtrove and Pharmaprojects, we identified and analyzed the directly competing trials/drugs and custom-designed a dynamic, easy-to-use landscape analysis tool elucidating the strategies, outcomes, diseases and projected completion of competing drug trials over the next several years. Areas of saturation or opportunity were highlighted.
An accompanying executive summary included high-level charts summarizing key segments of the landscape and a SWOT analysis for market entry.

 

 



Outcome:

The client was able to quickly digest competitive threats and opportunities and understand the possible role their drug could play in the developing landscape.
The clear entry path shown resulted in the continuing development of the drug in a metabolic disease.
